Performs pre-analytical processing of biological specimens for testing in the clinical laboratory, including data entry of client demographics, processing test orders and order review, reconciling specimen/order problems, assisting with send-out testing, ensuring proper patient registration and sample labeling, patient phlebotomy, and supporting inventory management and quality assurance. Participates in safety rounds and continuous improvement activities, and may train Clinical Laboratory Assistant I/II. Requires ability to work independently and communicate clearly; potential on-call and travel as needed.
