Student Sponsorship Program

What You'll Receive

As an Aksela CO-OP Student, you'll gain much more than classroom experience.

Paid tuition for an approved Diesel Technology or related equipment program

What You'll Do

While attending school, you'll combine classroom instruction with hands-on experience in both the shop and the field.

You'll have the opportunity to:

Work alongside experienced technicians inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing foundation drilling and construction equipment.

Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and engine systems.

Learn industry-leading diagnostic and repair techniques using advanced tools and technology.

Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities.

Develop safe work habits while following company policies and procedures.

Represent Aksela professionally at work, school, and within your community.

Build the technical skills needed for a successful career as an equipment technician.

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

Have earned your high school diploma (or will graduate prior to program start).

Plan to enroll, or are currently enrolled, in an approved Diesel Technology, Construction Equipment, Agricultural Equipment, or related technical program.

Have strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through school, hobbies, work experience, or personal projects.

Enjoy solving mechanical problems and working with your hands.

Work well independently and as part of a team.

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Have a strong attendance record and positive attitude.

Are committed to maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Intend to pursue a long-term career with Aksela after graduation.

Program Expectations

Students selected for the sponsorship program are expected to:

Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.

Successfully complete both classroom and workplace learning requirements.

Demonstrate Aksela's core values in school, at work, and in the community.

Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Make satisfactory progress toward graduation while actively participating in internship opportunities.
