Internship at the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture as County Extension Agent Intern. Location: Little Rock, Arkansas. Compensation: $12.50 hourly; up to 40 hours per week for a maximum of 10 weeks in the summer. Travel reimbursed at $0.52 per mile; housing is not provided (though assistance may be available in finding housing). Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing educational program events with County Extension Agents in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, and 4-H, assisting in event preparation, and potentially developing new tools or programs. Requires enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Family & Consumer Sciences with a minimum GPA of 2.5; willingness to travel within the county and to teach and communicate with groups. Completion of a Record of Internship is required at the conclusion of the internship.
