CSIRO Mineral Resources 2026/27 Discovery Postgraduate Student Internship Program

The CSIRO Discovery Postgraduate Internship Program (DISIPA) runs Sept 2026–June 2027 and offers postgraduate students hands-on research opportunities in Mineral Resources. Internships are typically 12 weeks, with the option to extend to 16 weeks to satisfy university requirements. Six internships are available (four in Kensington, Perth WA and two in Clayton, Melbourne VIC). Successful applicants receive a living allowance of AU$2,056.32 per fortnight, with potential additional benefits including up to AU$500 for conference attendance and up to AU$1,000 toward one return flight for students based outside the internship location. Placements are based at the nominated project location unless otherwise specified; visa costs and other travel accommodations are not included.
