Ethicon Surgical Technologies, part of Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting for R&D Engineering & Data Science Co-ops for the Spring 2027 term in Cincinnati, OH. Responsibilities include analyzing structured and unstructured surgical data, contributing to product concepts and new platforms, writing software for data analysis, conducting mechanical/electrical/biological tissue experiments, and designing data visualizations, with mentorship from hardware engineers, data engineers, and data scientists. Training courses are offered on-site and virtually. Co-ops may rotate every 3–4 months; the program offers housing assistance for non-local students (50+ miles from site) and a competitive wage with a one-time taxable stipend for housing. Transportation to the site is the student’s responsibility; housing resources are provided to help secure housing.
