Externship/Preceptorship for DVM students at Calusa Veterinary Center (Emergency Practice) in Boca Raton, FL. Flexible externships from 2 to 8 weeks (typically 2-3 weeks) with days, evenings and weekends. Stipend of $250 per week. Under supervision, externs participate in small animal patient care, including histories, physical examinations, diagnostic and therapeutic planning, surgery scrub-in, medical case management, wellness care, and SOAPs documentation.
