DVM Student Externship/Preceptorship Program - Dublin Veterinary Hospital (Sees Exotics)

DVM student externship/preceptorship program at Dublin Veterinary Hospital in Perkasie, PA. Externships range from 2 to 8 weeks during the year (typical length 2–3 weeks) with days, evenings, and weekends. Externs work under a mentor to gain hands-on experience in small animal practice, including to gather histories, perform physical examinations, develop diagnostic/therapeutic plans, scrub in to surgery, manage medical cases, provide wellness care, and maintain medical records (SOAPs). A stipend of $250 per week is provided. Requirements: enrolled in an accredited DVM program; authorized to work in the United States; carry liability insurance (AVMA PLIT) with certificate of coverage. Mentorship and evaluation provided.
