POSITION SUMMARY
The BorgWarner Information Environmental Health and Safety Intern Program is designed to provide a hands-on opportunity and environment to learn the profession of EHS at the entry level from the perspective of a Tier-One Automotive Supplier. We are seeking EHS Interns for the traditional spring and fall semesters as well as the summer months between the spring and fall semesters.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Integrating environmental, safety and health requirements into the planning, permitting, design and construction execution documents for projects
Interpreting company, local and national regulatory requirements
Evaluating and applying specialized scientific principles to formulate project scopes and plans
Providing specialized environments, safety and health information in engineering and construction projects
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelors degree program (or 2 plus 2) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health & Science, Fire Protection & Safety Technology, Health & Safety Management or related field from accredited college or University
Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health & Science, Fire Protection & Safety Technology, Health & Safety Management or related field
Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship

Pay Range: $21.89 - $29.86
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
- Optional 401k available
- Flexible Scheduling
- Candidates not meeting the requirements will not be considered.
Pay Range: $19.63-28.40
Internal Candidates: Eligibility to Bid
• Employees with less than one year of service are only eligible to bid on higher paying labor grade positions.
• Employees with more than one year of service will receive first consideration.
• Employees in a Disciplinary Step 1 are eligible to bid on any job.
• Employees in Step 2 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.
• Employees in Step 3 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.
• If an employee accepted a new position, they cannot bid on the same or lower paying labor grade for 1 year.
• If you were previously forced out of this job classification and are interested in returning to the position, you must complete a job bidding form.
