As an Electrical Engineering Co-op Intern, you will spend six months gaining hands-on experience while contributing to real projects at Associated Electric Cooperative’s New Madrid Power Plant. This paid engineering internship gives you the opportunity to step beyond the classroom, work alongside experienced professionals, and see how electrical engineering supports safe, reliable power generation.

What You’ll Do Contribute to meaningful electrical engineering projects that support power plant operations, reliability, and performance.

Work alongside experienced engineers and plant professionals who will provide guidance, mentoring, and practical insight.

Apply classroom knowledge to real-world electrical systems, equipment, and engineering challenges.

Build practical technical and problem-solving skills through six months of immersive experience in the utility industry.

What You’ll Need Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take an active role in engineering projects.

Ability to commit to a six-month co-op internship.
