Position Overview
The assignment will provide opportunities for engagement with engineers, managers and others in different departments in the organization, and provide an understanding of some of the workings within the operating and engineering groups at FortisBC.
In this role, you will:
Perform site visits when working with Distribution Design Group
Work with Design Group to document typical work tasks and update training material
Work with Design Group, Regulatory and Operations to implement and update process documentation
Liaise with other Utilities to develop strategic changes to the department
Provide technical support and work with the Distribution Design & Operations group
Update Distribution Design Tools and Tool Configuration using various MS Excel and/or scripting methods
Other duties and responsibilities as requiredPerform site visits when working with Distribution Design Group

What it takes:
Enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program with an Electrical focus - Third or Fourth year required
Enrolled in a Co-op program
Valid driver’s license and current abstract
Additional Information
This is a full-time temporary student co-op opportunity with an 8-month term starting in January 2027.
