Roles Available in Location: Ware, Montrose, Worthing, Stevenage, Barnard Castle

Other requirements: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) University for the duration of your placement.

If you have already graduated with a bachelor’s degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible for this programme.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Duration: 1 year (approximately)
Salary: A salary of £26,400 plus a bonus.

Role 1 – Engineering – Ware
Degree requirements: any Engineering discipline, including (but not limited to) Mechanical, Chemical, Automation, Electrical, Mechatronic, Robotics or related.
Workplace arrangements – Full time onsite required
Overview of the Department
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a world-class pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers, supporting projects that improve equipment reliability, manufacturing performance, sustainability and digital innovation.
Key Placement Activities
Support engineering projects from concept through to implementation and qualification.
Assist with the installation, commissioning and improvement of manufacturing equipment and utilities.
Contribute to equipment reliability and maintenance activities, helping to improve safety, performance and operational efficiency.
Work with automation, control systems and digital technologies to support manufacturing improvements.
Use data analysis and visualisation tools to identify trends and support data-driven decision making.
Participate in continuous improvement projects, applying structured problem-solving techniques.
Role 2 - Chemical Engineering – Montrose
Degree requirements: Related science/engineering degree
Workplace arrangements: Full time onsite
Overview of the Department
The Manufacturing Science and Technology Engineering Associate supports engineers in monitoring process performance, analysing manufacturing data, and driving continuous process improvements within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role contributes to process mapping activities, evaluation and implementation of new or modified equipment and technologies, and supports deviation investigations to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
