Entry level industrial plumber/steamfitter in Schenectady, NY. Duties include installing and repairing pipes, fixtures, and valves for water, gas, steam, and air systems; installing supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures; assembling fittings and valves; modifying pipe lengths; using saws and pipe cutters; installing heating and air‑conditioning systems, including water heaters; collaborating with contractors and other trades; performing inspections and tests for leaks; following health and safety standards and building codes; operating scissor/boom lifts and forklifts; using CMMS work order system and accessing Building Management System for HVAC adjustments; and completing miscellaneous job-related duties. Requirements include High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of basic plumbing experience; 2 years preferred; valid driver’s license. Base pay is $29.12/hr with progression to $37.11-$45.64/hr after training, with potential general wage/cola increases and a $1/hr night shift bonus; geographic differential may apply in certain areas.
