What you’ll do

Assist with wetland and stream delineations, field surveys, and site assessments

Collect and record field data, including soil, vegetation, and water quality samples

Support permitting and regulatory documentation for local, state, and federal agencies

Use GIS and CAD tools to prepare maps, exhibits, and reports

Work alongside experienced scientists and engineers on real client projects

What we’re looking for

Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, Ecology, Geology, or a related field

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain

Strong attention to detail and clear written communication

Familiarity with ArcGIS or similar software is a plus

Valid driver’s license preferred

We’re currently hiring Environmental interns to join our Environmental Group for our Richmond, VA office.

Compensation: Our salary for this position beginning in May 2027 will be $20/hour. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.
