Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
Your main challenge
As a Game Cinematic Artist Intern, you will join our team in Barcelona and learn how cinematic sequences are created and implemented directly inside a real-time game engine.
Working alongside our artists and game team, you will help create compelling camera shots and sequences for our games, from race introductions and menu sequences to in-game cinematics. You will develop your eye for framing, composition and visual storytelling while gaining hands-on experience with our cinematic tools and pipelines.
What it means on a daily basis
Create and adapt 3D camera shots and cinematic sequences inside our real-time game engine, including race intros, menu sequences and in-game cinematics.
Work with 3D characters, vehicles and other game assets, positioning them within scenes and finding the best framing and composition.
Learn and work with our existing real-time cinematic tools and pipelines, maintaining and updating sequences as the game evolves.
Review and test your work directly in-game, identifying visual or technical issues and making the necessary adjustments.
Collaborate with the game and art teams, responding to feedback and supporting new cinematic needs throughout production.
WHAT SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE
In your first 3 months, you will become familiar with our game engine, cinematic pipeline and existing camera sequences, progressively contributing your own shots with guidance from the team.
By 6 months, you will be comfortable creating and adapting camera sequences for different areas of the game, testing your work and incorporating feedback with increasing autonomy.
As you progress, you will develop a stronger understanding of real-time cinematics and visual storytelling while contributing polished camera work that enhances the presentation of our games.
WHO YOU WOULD BE WORKING WITH
You will work closely with our Art and Game teams in Barcelona, collaborating with the people responsible for the characters, environments and game content featured in your cinematic sequences.
You will receive guidance from experienced team members while gradually taking more ownership of your work as you become familiar with our tools and pipelines.
