We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intern to join our Business Tax team. The role will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to tax compliance, research, assessments, advisory, and tax controversy management, including litigation support.

Your Responsibilities

Support the team in tax compliance, assessments and related documentation.

Conduct tax research on applicable laws, regulations, notifications, circulars and judicial precedents.

Assist in preparing responses, submissions and documentation for tax assessments and litigation matters.

Support the team in tax controversy management, including tracking and coordinating ongoing matters.

Assist in analysing tax positions and preparing research notes, presentations and client deliverables.

Support the team in providing business tax advisory and resolving tax-related queries.

Coordinate with internal teams to gather relevant information and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Maintain appropriate documentation and records for ongoing engagements.

Stay updated on changes in direct tax laws, regulations and judicial developments.

Qualifications

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and research skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.

Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
