The Opportunity
We are seeking a Student Intern to support government and public affairs-related activities through research, stakeholder engagement, meeting coordination and legislative monitoring. This opportunity will provide hands-on exposure to public policy, regulatory developments, legislative processes and stakeholder relations while contributing to informed business decision-making. The Student Intern will gain valuable experience analyzing political and regulatory issues, preparing research and summaries, and supporting engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll do
Support general office and administrative activities.
Conduct research to support team members and business initiatives.
Coordinate meeting logistics and assist with preparation for meetings involving internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare summaries of U.S. legislative activities, including hearings and legislation.
Track and monitor regulatory developments relevant to TC Energy.
Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an accredited Political Science or related degree program
Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with U.S. politics and Congress
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong writing skills
Demonstrate a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
Exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives
Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
Commitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
Reflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal development
