StandardAero is seeking a motivated, eager, and innovative student to join our Facilities Maintenance Team.

We are looking for a total of 1 intern for approx 20-24 hours a week.

As a Facilities/Mainteance intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.

Over the course of your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

Partner with existing facilities project maintenance teams to support companywide facilities and maintenance in Springfield.

You will work with experienced maintenance team on project types that involve environmental cost savings, electrical systems, plumbing, lighting controls, compressed air systems, and building HVAC.

What You’ll Do

Find opportunities and create/complete maintenance projects.

Ensure site wide compliance of federal, state, and local environmental policies and procedures.

Assist in creating and updating internal environmental policies.

Other projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a formal HVAC trade/training program.

Working knowledge of PCs and MS Office Suite.

Minimum of 1 year of building maintenance experience.

Knowledge of tools, methods, and practice of maintaining equipment, buildings, and facilities.

Knowledge with hand and power tools.

Excellent communication skills.

Must be US Citizen due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Knowledge of local and national fire, building, plumbing, and electrical codes.

Preference given to LLCC/Springfield area trade/HVAC program students.

Salary: Starting salary of $19.21hr

Actual pay will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and internal equity considerations.
