Role Purpose
Summer 2027 Intern position working independently and in cross functional teams, participates in the design, engineering, procurement, installation, start up, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems such as:
Batch Delivery Systems
Melting Systems
Thermal Process Services
Thermal Equipment Design

Key Responsibilities
On a daily basis the incumbent in this position will be expected to:
Create or document design basis requirements
Design mechanical components and assemblies
Manage project documentation
Specify or otherwise identify commercially available equipment/system components
Travel/Work Hours
Some travel may be required for this position. The amount depends on the project location and scope.
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Standard, 40 hrs./wk. Monday - Friday, 8-5. Overtime for meetings and travel as needed.
Experiences/Education - Required
Capable of domestic travel
Junior in bachelor’s Mechanical Engineering program or higher
Desired Skills
Prior Industrial or Intern experience
Demonstrated Project Management experience
Computer (Microsoft Office) experience
CAD (Solidworks) experience
Maturity, common sense and practicality
Organized and methodical

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
