IT Intern

Your tasks

This position is located in New Boston, Michigan

Provide first-level IT support to end users for hardware, software, Microsoft Office 365, mobile devices and connectivity issues

Install, configure and support end-user devices including PCs, smartphones, tablets and printers

Support users with IT-related requests and incidents within the Brose Service Catalog

Assist with basic network and connectivity troubleshooting

Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records using BITS

Update and maintain IT documentation

Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate when necessary

Support hardware deployment and operating system upgrades

Gain hands-on exposure to network and VLAN segmentation, device management and plant IT infrastructure

Support IT projects including Windows 11 migration, wireless access point replacement and end-user device upgrades

Your Profile

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field

Approximately two years remaining before graduation preferred

Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing and connectivity troubleshooting

Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Strong communication and customer service skills

Willingness to learn new technologies and develop hands-on IT skills

Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team

Previous technical support, IT or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
