IT Network Engineer Junior, Edge Network Engineer Junior

This position is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and support of the University of Maryland wired and wireless networks. It provides support to UMD Faculty, Staff, and Students for connection to the edge network, including but not limited to providing assistance for jack activations, copper and optical connections, wired switch and wireless AP troubleshooting, DHCP and DNS services, VPN troubleshooting, and network infrastructure deployment and replacement. The campus network is a converged network that requires disciplined support and a strong propensity towards IT project management. This position requires a valid driver's license. May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends, or different shifts for extended periods. Telework is not guaranteed.
