Veterinary Student Externship at Lake Forest Animal Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia. Externs gain mentorship from multiple veterinarians and join a team experienced in general practice, emergency, surgery, and dental services. The program offers hands-on experience in soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, dentistry, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and in-house lab capabilities, supported by a dental suite. A stipend is provided to offset housing and travel costs, and externs have opportunities to connect with VetEvolve practices. Enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary program (VMD/DVM) is required.
