JOB DESCRIPTION
The Life and Health Underwriting Analyst will report directly to the Underwriting Manager, TD Life Insurance Company.
Key Accountabilities include (but no limited to):
Assist with revision of internal underwriting guidelines
Assist with research related to medical and non-medical impairments
Review training material for new underwriters and make recommendations for structure and training topics
Assist with review of tasks performed by underwriters and case managers and make recommendations to streamline processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree (3rd/4th year) in Accounting; Analytics; Data; biomedical sciences, health research, kinesiology, and pharmacy.
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and collaborative software such as WebEx and MS Teams.
Willingness to learn TDI's internal platforms that support intranet/e-space publications.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team and/or independently
Effective written and verbal communication skills, in English and French

This position is a 4-month work term and will commence January 5 – April 23, 2027.
Life and Health Underwriting Analyst position is expected to be filled in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The successful applicant will be required to work from a physical TD location at least 3 days per week in accordance with TD's workplace model.
