This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience. As a Machine Design Intern, you will be responsible for:

Understand Medical product design lifecycle from concept to Design V&V.

Assist with creating 2D, 3D design files using SolidWorks.

Develop prototypes to ensure Design for manufacturability aspects.

Support Engagement Teams in Issue management and resolution.

Provide assistance with engineering day to day tasks.

This position may suit you best if you are familiar with the areas and concepts below, and would like to develop your skills within Healthineers:

A general understanding of Hardware design for Robotics application

Previous projects, team competitions, or internships in mechanical design

An understanding of general medical capital equipment design.

Required skills and education to have for the success of this role: SolidWorks, PDM, FEA, Kinematics, 3D Printing, Mechanical system troubleshooting.

Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program, majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.

Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)

The base pay range for this position is

$59,100 - $86,680

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
