Position Summary

During your placement as Manufacturing Science & Technology Intern you will get experience of working with one of our Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) Upstream (Cell Culture) and Downstream (Purification) teams and you will get exposure to various MS&T activities such as:

Actively participate and contribute to the MS&T team deliverables for 2026 including late stage process characterisation and supporting product technical transfers

Support of product technical transfers,

Evaluation of new process technologies through the use of scale-down models and in depth understanding of data from manufacturing

Applying knowledge of protein structure and conformation, chromatography principles and membrane and filtration science to purification projects.

Preparation of solutions required for protein purification unit operations.

Lead the design and execution of experiments on protein purification unit operations. Linking with other support functions as required.

Data generation, analysis and dissemination.

Provide technical support to Manufacturing Technology (MT) group by trouble-shooting manufacturing-scale process problems through experimental investigations.

Assist in the writing of technical documents, preparation of study protocols and reports

Participate in cross-functional teams.

MS&T Upstream and Downstream work closely with other MS&T teams, Process Analytics and MT groups. This is an excellent opportunity to gain cross-functional understanding and exposure to a broad range of functions within the biopharmaceutical industry.

Biotechnology,  Science, Industrial Biochemistry, BioScience, Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering discipline of study

Passionate about the biopharma sector and innovation in healthcare

Strong communication skills

Ability to work as a member of a team

Energetic, collaborative and dedicated

Compensation Overview: 2213.90 € per month

Pay for this internship/co‑op position is provided in accordance with local market practices and applicable laws. Pay may be offered as an hourly rate and/or monthly stipend, or other locally compliant structure. Pay is determined based on objective factors such as academic level, relevant experience, skills, and work location.

Interns and co‑op participants may be eligible for limited benefits depending on program structure, work location, and local requirements. Eligibility and offerings are governed by applicable policies and employment regulations.

This is a temporary, time‑bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co‑op program and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment following program completion.
