Master thesis at Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart focusing on reinforcement learning for hybrid locomotion of wheeled, bipedal robots using NVIDIA Isaac Sim. Design a realistic simulation environment, train RL algorithms for hybrid locomotion and balance on uneven terrain, and compare the simulated behaviour with the real-world performance of our bipedal robot. Enrollment at a German university required; background in computer science/software engineering/mechanical engineering/mechatronics; RL experience; ROS and NVIDIA Isaac Sim/Isaac Lab experience are pluses.
