Master thesis opportunity at Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics in Freiburg, Germany to establish and develop a measurement and analysis chain for quantitative stress analysis of NV-doped diamond using ODMR. Tasks include conducting ODMR measurements (e.g., with confocal microscopy), developing stress-mapping protocols, evaluating spectra to derive local stress parameters, and implementing Python-based workflows for automation and visualization. Requires enrollment in physics, microsystems technology or a comparable discipline with Python programming and German or English language skills. The position is initially limited to 12 months with a 40-hour work week. Remuneration according to the general works agreement for employing assistant staff.
