Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at Cleveland-Cliffs Middletown Works (Middletown, OH). Co-op term may be completed during the Spring (January–May) or Summer (May–August) semester. Responsibilities include predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance; research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, redesign, operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment; planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects; reading blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports; and analyzing operating performance to recommend improvements. Requires enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field and completion of at least sophomore year by Summer 2027. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The program offers competitive pay with variable compensation and potential for future full-time employment.
