Job Posting Title Mechanical Engineering Intern

Job Description Summary Responsible for supporting the Engineering team in the design, development, and improvement of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes used in a high-volume production environment. This internship provides hands-on experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, automation, and cross-functional problem-solving. The selected candidate will work closely with engineers and production personnel to develop practical solutions that support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description:

Design tooling components used in powder compaction and hot forge manufacturing processes.

Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and prints for tooling, gaging, fixtures, and related production equipment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that improve manufacturing processes, quality, and productivity.

Troubleshoot tooling and production issues alongside engineering and manufacturing team members.

Support automation projects by assisting in the design and implementation of mechanical systems and components.

Participate in engineering reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement activities.

Maintain engineering documentation and update drawings as needed.

Follow established safety, quality, and engineering standards.

Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology, with an anticipated graduation date of 2028.

Experience using CAD software such as Creo Parametric, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks.

Basic understanding of GD&T concepts and blueprint reading

Basic understanding in Microsoft Office programs
