Mercor’s Research Fellowship (APEX) funds researchers to design, implement, and release a new benchmark or evaluation technique for frontier AI models. Compensation features a 3-month stipend of $40,000 or a 6-month stipend of $80,000. The program offers time, compute, expert labor, and mentorship to design, implement, and publish end-to-end. Location is remote or in-person at Mercor’s San Francisco office; minimum 20 hours/week; rolling admission (3–6 months).
