Our 10-week US Summer Internship Program offers students an immersive learning experience with hands-on work in areas across the organization. Interning with PTC provides students with the opportunity to work on high-visibility and high impact projects.

Onshape is a next-generation Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product development platform that helps businesses of all sizes modernize and accelerate their design and manufacturing processes. The cloud-native platform is the only all-in-one system that combines robust computer-aided design (CAD) with powerful data management and collaboration tools. Onshape helps extended design teams work together faster from any location and helps executives make better decisions with real-time business analytics and unprecedented visibility into their company’s operations.

Your Impact

You will help with improving the tooling and continuous deployment environment of the Onshape platform. Interns will work on several projects throughout their time that will be used immediately to deploy/monitor and improve many aspects for the Onshape platform.

Your Team

You will be part of a team that is responsible for developing solutions that improve the automated deployment, monitoring and alerting of the onshape platform. We treat interns like full time systems engineers who just happen to be around for a shorter period of time, so an intern will be a full-fledged team member with many of the same responsibilities as a full-time engineer.

Your Day-to-Day

• Develop new code to improve Onshape deployment infrastructure
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify, design and implement solutions.
• Participate in the code review process both as reviewer and reviewee
• Fix bugs both in your new code and in existing code

Basic Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in some type of degree program in one of the following or related fields: Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
• Comfort with getting into the unknowns of a system and researching solutions.
• Experience working with Linux
• Simple knowledge of python

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate’s background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the hourly range for this position to be between $32- $36 The actual pay may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
