Trainee ophthalmic technician position in the Ophthalmology Eye Clinic at the University of Rochester. The trainee will shadow and learn to perform preliminary diagnostic tests (visual acuity testing, tonometry, refraction), assist in preparing patients for eye exams, record patient information in the EMR, observe and assist with OCT imaging and visual field testing, and maintain equipment while following infection control and safety protocols. Includes basic clerical duties and other duties as assigned under supervision.
