Entry-level Police Officer trainee position with Vanderbilt University Public Safety in Nashville, TN. Trainees are hired to attend a P.O.S.T.-approved police academy; upon graduation they advance to Police Officer - Certified. Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience), must be 21 years of age or older, and acceptance into an accredited Police Academy with Tennessee P.O.S.T. certification requirements to be met within nine months. The role may include non-sworn, full-time assignments while awaiting academy; it has no supervisory responsibilities.
