Postdoctoral fellow to conduct translational pulmonary biology research in the Coates Laboratory at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The Coates Laboratory investigates mechanisms of lung injury and repair following severe pediatric viral respiratory infections (influenza A and RSV), using in vivo models, primary lung epithelial cultures, and advanced omics and imaging approaches. The position provides rigorous training in translational pulmonary biology, viral immunopathogenesis, and mechanisms of tissue repair, with strong preparation for scientific or physician–scientist career paths.
