Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.
Scope of Position
This is a technical intern position where you, the engineer, will be expected to apply fundamental but rigorous scientific methods and mechanistic understanding to improve processes and/or design capability for new and existing process and products, The work may require you to be able to influence across organizational boundaries.

Day to Day Responsibilities
You may be involved generating hypothesis, design and execution of experiments to facilitate and promote fundamental understanding
You may be involved in analysis of data and generating reports for sharing with team members and leaders
You may be involved in conducting hands on work in a laboratory, pilot or manufacturing environment.
You will communicate project status and updates to your supervisor as well as both the project team members and leaders. Communication may include memos, technical reports and verbal/oral presentations.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in a techinical field
Ability to collaborate with peers and integrate solutions Programming skills.
Self-Starter and Results-oriented.
Flexibility - Able to change and adjust smoothly as the situation demands.
Strong communication skills
Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2027 or later
Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
