Compensation Range: $19.04 - $26.63

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

The Research Assistant at Mt. Hope Family Center will be working on research studies to collect psychological research data. Research studies are related to examining the impact of stress, trauma, and child maltreatment on mental and physical health among children and adults. The position requires experience conducting research with families from diverse backgrounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Conduct research sessions with child and adult participants including interviews, surveys, observations, neurocogntivie, and physiological measurements.

Assist with recruitment of participants for the study

Code, organize, enter multi-method data from research visits into project databases

Contact participants and schedule research visits; maintain good relations with participants and address any questions or concerns.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree required

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Prior experience as a Phlebotomist (discipline plus 2-3 years specialized experience in related field) preferred

2 years of research experience working with human subjects or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (preferred)

Word processing and data analysis software

Familiarity and comfort with Excel, Qualtrics, REDCap, and other databases, and statistical software such as SPSS

Transportation of research participants to and from the Center, transporting biological samples to URMC labs, and recruitment in the community using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed
