Research Fellow in Materials Science/Biomaterials to develop sustainable growing media for urban farming. Responsibilities include literature reviews, synthesis/functionalization/characterization of porous materials (e.g. SEM, XRD, DLS, FTIR, TGA/DSC, MTS, ICP-MS), assays to study degradation and nutrient release, correlating material properties with plant growth, scale-up with farms and industry partners, supervision of junior researchers, lab management, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and reporting. Funded by Singapore Food Agency (SFA) under SFS R&D Programme 2.0.
