The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.

Join the laboratory of Su Rui at SPMS. We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to a project focused on Topological polaritons.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabrication of topological exciton polariton lattices based on novel seminconductors

Use electron beam lithographic techniques to etch novel lattice patterns

Perform optical characterizations of structures using various optical spectroscopy

Collaborate with theoretical researchers in the design and optimization for new fundamental effects and the creation of polaritonic topological lattices

Perform nonlinear optical measurements, using interferometric, angle-resolved, and correlation type techniques

Record, manage, and store collected data in line with NTUs data management policies

Disseminate results in the form of peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences

Writing grant proposals and mentor PhD students

Job Requirements:

PhD in Physics, Optics, Material sciences, Engineering from a reputable University
