Robotics Planning & Controls Intern in SF Bay Area (in-person). Internship duration is 3 or 6 months with a defined deliverable, dedicated mentor, and a team demo. You will develop motion planning or control algorithms, benchmark against baselines, and integrate with perception and learning components in the full stack, with hardware deployment. Requirements include pursuing MS/PhD in Robotics, ME, EE, or related field (strong BS welcome); solid foundations in dynamics, optimization, and control theory; strong C++ or Python; hands-on robot hardware experience; ability to take ownership with light supervision; excellent problem-solving skills; and legal authorization to intern in the United States for 3 or 6 months. Nice-to-have: MPC, whole-body control, sampling/optimization-based planners or similar.
