Job Description:
Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Software & Engineering Quality (f/m) to join our Quality Transversal Connected Intelligence team based in Toulouse, France.
You will be part of a transnational team bridging the gap between software development and quality assurance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sustainable end-to-end technical products and services.
As part of the Quality Transversal Connected Intelligence, you will be involved in supporting engineering projects teams to develop and implement the technical solution, on time, on cost and on quality.

Your challenge:
Plan, implement, and monitor quality engineering activities within software development and technical project environments:
Assure technical requirements are documented, baselined and understood by the engineering project team
Participate in technical reviews, code quality assessments, and software engineering gates across the project lifecycle
Assure problems reports, any non-conformities to technical requirements are captured, followed and resolved
Assure verification and validation test plans are developed and test environment created
Facilitate test readiness reviews and test review boards
Facilitate lessons learnt review with the engineering project team and support the implementation of improvement actions
Develop Quality management and software quality assurance plans for new projects and assure that the engineering plans and work packages adequately cover the work breakdown structure defined by the project team and the product breakdown structure defined by the system architect.
Your profile:
Initial practical experience (1 to 3 years, including internships or work-study programs) in software development or software quality engineering
Software & Technical Skills: Good understanding of software engineering lifecycles and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Familiarity with software testing practices (unit testing, automated testing, V&V).Basic knowledge of software architecture and coding best practices
Quality & Process Awareness: Interest in quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AQAP) or process capability models (e.g., CMMI).Knowledge of quality tools, defect tracking (e.g., Jira), and audit practices is an advantage
Soft Skills: Autonomous, proactive, and curious mindset with a strong interest in solving technical challengesExcellent communication skills, capable of acting as a trusted interface between software developers, project managers, and quality leadersAbility to thrive in a multi-functional and transnational team environment
Languages: Fluency in both English and French.
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
