Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of a Building Structures (Aviation, Transit and Mission Critical) focused team and reporting to a Director of Building Structures. The position will be located in the Chicago office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Familiar with a wide variety of structural analysis and design software.
Conduct existing surveys and document the main structural systems and existing connections.
Perform analysis and design of structural systems for a variety of buildings and materials using building codes.
Assist in the direction, coordination, planning, and completion of projects with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
What your experience looks like
Studying Structural Engineering from a US accredited university required (Studying towards Master’s degree preferred).
Good ability at using structural analysis software.
Experience with existing structures, building modification, and/or restoration a plus.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, is required.
Proficiency in REVIT, is highly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs is required.
Positive team player.
Self-motivated to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize tasks, meets deadlines, and work collaboratively on multiple projects at once.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Design and analysis experience in reinforced concrete, masonry, and steel.
The hourly range for this role is $21 to $25. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
