Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. The experience also includes immersion in Huntington’s award‑winning culture through community involvement and team‑based activities. Internships at Huntington are designed to help students build a strong foundation for future career success while contributing to meaningful business initiatives.
Internship Opportunities at Huntington:
Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments.
Rising seniors (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 grads) may participate in the Huntington Internship Program, an 11-week, role-aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands-on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington's innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full-time opportunities.
All interns participate in a variety of developmental and professional activities designed to support learning and exposure to the organization. Depending on your school year, program components may include:
Experience in day‑to‑day responsibilities related to their assigned team
Exposure to broader business functions
A structured schedule of professional development sessions
Opportunities to engage with members of the Executive Leadership Team
Discussions with senior leaders regarding career paths and Huntington’s business areas
A team project focused on applying Huntington’s innovation framework to a business‑relevant problem
Participation in volunteer activities and internal events aligned with Huntington’s culture
Business Innovation & AI Products Internship Overview:
Within the Business Innovation & AI Products, interns gain exposure to leading and innovating banking AI solutions and products. Students partner directly with professionals to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives while developing knowledge of how generative AI is being leveraged in banking, some of the AI products that banks are investing in and processes and practices to get AI products stood up in a large enterprise.
Opportunities may include exposure to consumer, business, and wealth management AI products. Successful candidates are curious, collaborative, and interested in learning more about careers in AI banking products, technologies, and experiences.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications:
High School graduate
Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with at least one quarter/semester of school after the completion of the summer program.
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice® applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Course(s) of study applicable to the area of business
Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks
Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions
Ability to display a positive business presence with management and external personnel
A strong interest in Banking as a career
Relevant Majors: Marketing, Product Marketing/Strategy/Management, AI Strategy, Prompt Engineering, Data Science, Experience Design, Graphic Design
Relevant Coursework: Prompt Engineering, Generative AI, AI Product Strategy
Preferred Skills & Interests: Marketing, Financial Services, Banking, Experience Design, Product Management/Strategy/Ownership/Marketing
