About the role

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will support the development, testing, and data‑analysis activities associated with safety‑critical industrial control systems. You will work with experienced engineers to design, implement, and validate software used in high‑reliability applications.

You will report to the Manager, I&C Safety Software and be located at our Warrendale, PA facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software tools and components using C# or C++

Support automated testing, simulation, and verification workflows

Use Azure DevOps and Git for version control, work tracking, and CI/CD processes

Create or enhance Power BI dashboards to visualize metrics and support engineering decisions

Participate in structured engineering processes, reviews, and documentation updates related to safety‑critical software development

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering

Completed Sophomore year of college

Coursework or project experience in C# or C++

Familiarity with Git and modern DevOps tools

Basic experience with Power BI or data visualization

Interest in safety‑critical, embedded, or industrial control software

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
