Sustainability Intern – Social Impact (6 months)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Sustainability Intern will have a strong interest in sustainability and social impact. They will support the execution of an industry leading factory responsibility program in home furnishings, working within the WSI sustainability team across Asia and the US.

The Social Compliance Intern will support the day-to-day operations of Williams-Sonoma, Inc.’s social compliance program with some addition projects. Working closely with the Sustainability team across Asia, the Intern will assist with social compliance audit tracking, supplier and factory follow-up, data management, reporting, documentation, and program coordination.

This role is suited for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with data, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in the operational management of a global social compliance program.

We are looking for an intern for 6months, starting January 2027, preferably able to commit to at least 4 days work week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the day-to-day operation and coordination of WSI’s social compliance and factory responsibility program.

Maintain and update social compliance records, trackers, databases, and supplier/factory information.

Support follow-up with suppliers and factories on outstanding documentation, corrective actions, and program requirements.

Support the preparation of social compliance reports.

Support on Data Collection on Traceability for Europe and Pakistan market.

Support on launching and tracking Vendor Progress for Annual Conflict Mineral Data Collection.

Proficiency in Microsoft BI is a plus.

Commitment period:

Minimum able to commit to 4 full days a week, ideally for 6 months.

This internship can be a credit-bearing internship with the academic institutions.
