Trainee shotfirer

Trainee Shotfirer at Glensanda Quarry, near Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. No previous experience required as full training will be provided. You will learn how to set out a blast, carry out a face survey using the laser or drone, produce the blast specifications used by the team before charging, how to charge the blast, and post-blast specification, all to the highest safety standards under Quarry Regulations 1999. Full training will be given in Emergency First Aid at Work, MPQC/SPA Contractor Safety Passport, CSCS, Quarry Regulations Training, and Geotechnical Assessment (Basic). You will work towards Level 3 Diploma in Shotfiring, Level 2 Certificate in Face Profiling, and Level 2 Award in Explosives Storage. Must be at least 21 and hold a current UK driving license.
