Vegetable Seed Intern
In this role, you will support and learn the fundamentals of vegetable seed manufacturing while building strong relationships with regional and global stakeholders. You will contribute to key operational, quality, and process improvement activities that enable reliable, high‑quality seed production.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Assist with documentation of operational processes within the Manufacturing Excellence function;
Work with onsite Manufacturing teams to execute key projects and deliverables in the processing of vegetable seeds;
Complete data validation and SAP reports to support global and regional operations needs, including equipment run time, sustainability data, and plant scheduling needs;
Support Quality and HSE functions to drive key programs and targeted metrics;
Collaborate with cross‑functional regional teams and global teams to identify opportunities for improvement and work with the team to implement solutions;
Cooperate with Crop Specialists, Field Quality, Production Research, or Seed Technology personnel to identify, develop, and implement projects to improve reliability, quality, and/or cost;
Work with global and regional teams on business initiatives, standardization, optimization projects, and related activities.

WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Qualifications & Competencies:
Currently enrolled in a junior college or bachelor’s program leading to a degree in an agricultural‑related field;
Valid driver’s license and personal transportation to and from the worksite;
Ability to build relationships and work well in a team‑based environment;
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
Self‑motivated with a strong results orientation;
Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail;
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to organize (thoughts, data, etc.);
Excellent computer skills related to data acquisition and record keeping;
Demonstrated leadership ability;
Ability to learn, willingness to ask questions, and adaptability to change.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $22.75 to $47.75. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits may include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc (if relevant). This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
