Unpaid Veterinary Technician Student Externship in Nashville, TN. This hands-on, immersive program provides mentorship from credentialed emergency veterinary technicians and experience in triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care. You can choose the length of your externship and the VEG hospital placement. Eligibility includes enrollment in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program (not for veterinarians or veterinary assistants), ability to start within six months, current rabies vaccination or titer, and ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg (40 kg with assistance). On-site at VEG hospitals in the VEG network.
