Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in: - Finance and Computer Science (Double degree or combined program preferred) - Financial Engineering - Mathematical Finance - Risk Management - Quantitative Finance - Computer Science with a strong interest in financial markets - - Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines
Demonstrated interest in both financial markets and technology.
Basic understanding of financial concepts such as: - Fixed income securities - Interest rates and yield curves - Investment management - Financial markets and products - Risk management concepts
Basic programming skills, preferably in Python.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Academic coursework or project experience in both finance and technology disciplines.
Familiarity with one or more of the following: - Asset Liability Management (ALM) - Market risk management - Fixed income analytics - Financial modeling - Quantitative analysis
Experience using Python libraries for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
Experience with databases, data engineering, or data visualization tools.
Exposure to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI technologies.
Familiarity with software development practices such as Git, testing, and version control.
Experience developing analytical, automation, or data-driven solutions through academic or personal projects.

Candidates from Finance & Computer Science double-degree programs, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or Risk Management programs with strong programming skills are especially encouraged to apply.

Salary range is expected to be between:
$40,950.00 CAD - $62,450 CAD
The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work-term.
