Job Description:

This role delivers insights that optimize today's UPS network and shape tomorrow's innovations. Participants will work on high-impact projects involving quantitative logistics modeling, advanced analytics, data visualization, and storytelling to support Industrial Engineering initiatives and drive measurable business results. Projects are aligned with individual skills, strengths, and interests, allowing team members to build expertise while making a meaningful impact on the UPS network.

Responsibilities:

Develops analytical models and data visualizations to drive analytic insights.

Interacts with cross-functional teams to model current operations processes and evaluate potential solutions.

Presents data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders utilizing process improvement analysis

Exploring and applying Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and data analytics tools to improve operational efficiency and support engineering initiatives

Qualifications and Skills:

Knowledge of Industrial Engineering and/or Engineering related discipline

Effective statistical analysis skills

Effective research and communication skills

Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity and dedication to getting results

Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions

Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the internship or willing to relocate yourself

Current student enrolled in a degreed college/university program, or recent graduate from a degreed college/university program within the past 24 months

Must be available to work 40 hours per week.
