2027 MBA /MFE Summer Intern – Associate, Portfolio Management at PIMCO in Newport Beach, CA. The internship is a 10-week program (early June to mid-August) located at PIMCO’s Newport Beach Office. The Portfolio Management Associate supports the development, presentation, and execution of investment strategies across various sectors that are part of the firm’s overall investment strategy. Responsibilities include developing, presenting, and executing thoughtful trading strategies to optimize investment performance; preparing daily research notes and market updates; participating in the development of short- and long-term financial forecasts; and supporting account managers by updating existing account bases on market conditions, philosophy, process, and performance. Requirements include MBA or Master’s degree with relevant work experience in finance/economics/financial engineering, completion expected between Dec 2027 – June 2028, fluent in English, and preference for 1-2 years of prior work experience.
