About the Role

As a Commercial Optimization Co-op Student, you’ll support day-to-day decisions and long-term strategy across AltaGas’ Midstream platform. Working with all other front-office teams, Commercial Optimization focuses on creating value through collaboration, partnership, and rigorous analysis. This role is ideal for students who enjoy solving complex problems, working in a dynamic environment, and applying their skills to real-world business challenges.

What You’ll Do

Support large-scale modelling efforts for AltaGas’ LPG Exports, Supply, and Marketing businesses

Prepare, analyze, and distribute various daily, weekly, and monthly reports

Contribute to building new analytical methods and associated processes

Assist other front-office & planning teams as necessary

What You’ll Bring:

Currently enrolled in your 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate degree in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field

Strong analytical and modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel

A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on efficiency, practical problem-solving, and delivering effective solutions

A strong desire to learn, with the confidence to ask thoughtful questions and build a deeper understanding of the business
